My proposed change is simply:
You gain 1 Energy for every ally affected by one of your Shouts or Chants (maximum 1 Energy for every 2 ranks). This Energy is doubled if you are in an area with a maximum party size of 4 or less.
I see this as opening the paragon up a little bit in Random and Team Arenas and Alliance Battles, as well as in PvE areas in the early game (thinking of Hard Mode here) without really any negative consequences. I'd like to hear your comments on this, though.
I am sorry if this has been posted before and the idea discarded. I did a search of this forum and found nothing talking about this directly in the newer threads.

That is part of the challenge of playing w/ a smaller team. Should I then propose that monks divine favor heals for more or their spells cost less energy if the team size is small? Should mesmers get more of a bonus from fast casting because the smaller teams mean they need to get those spells cast extra fast?
There are so few locations w/ a team size of only 4 - it seems like a rather frivolous request to me. Plus, if you need that much help in normal mode, in the 4-person areas, you're doing something wrong, and in hard mode, well, it's supposed to be "hard"...

Racthoh, get your little paragon ass in here and explain why Paragons are already powerful enough.

Quit arguing for PvE, and try explaining some decent skills for PvP. That's the part it's lacking. PvE skills are SUPPOSED to be a little offbalanced. Hence why a dervish with the luxon skill just owns in general.

You're crazy! Paragons need buffs. I think they should make all motivation skills as powerful as they used to be so we can see more completely unkillable paraway spike teams.

I would ask, on the other side of the coin:
Should eles have half their energy from energy storage in small player count areas? Should monks get half their divine favor bonus in these same places? How about the dervish's energy and life bonus when enchantments end? You get the idea already. I see this not as giving leadership a boost in power, but as bringing it up to par with what it does in 8 man groups in other areas. Obviously few people view it this way, though.

Let me clear this up for you. I meant it as more of a help for PvP in areas such as Alliance Battles, Random Arenas, and Team Arenas where you currently see very few paragons about. The fact that it helps in some PvE areas is a side benefit to me. It is easy to bring a minion master or even a ranger pet or two (god forbid!) in these areas if you really need the energy.
To everyone:
I won't be following this thread anymore. Sorry that I am "bringing [too much] attention to Paragons" for you. It was just an idea. Now I feel sorry that I posted it in the first place.

Its funny because he dumbed it down and used a PvE example, and they are even more over powered in PvP.

Anyone who thinks paragons are underpowered are fools. FA+SY paragons are godly in PvE, and they're a staple part of many PvP builds.

They win in PvE, even in four man zones.
In PvP, an extra two energy return is not going to suddenly make them worthwhile in a four man situation. In those PvP zones there is a lot of emphasis on the build, you have so little room to fit all of the essentials onto your 32 spots. The party-wide buffs lose half their effectiveness in a party of four. It's the skills, not the primary, that make paragons a poor choice when the party size is limited.
